Chris Keener is an Enrolled Agent and tax preparer for Gehman Accounting. While Chris focuses on accurate data entry, he also takes pride in honoring each client’s unique situation and attempts to optimize the available information. He specializes in completing business tax returns.
Chris studied Bible and accounting at Cairn University, which led to an internship at Butrica Ployd & Associates doing accounting work. In the winter of 2014, he accepted a full-time job doing tax preparation for Sonrise TagsAndTax in Lebanon, PA. Even after Chris took an opportunity to work as the Accounting Manager at Dutch-Way Farm Market in 2017, he continued doing taxes part-time at Sonrise because of his connection with the clients and his love for taxes (preparing taxes, maybe not as much as paying them). In September 2020, Chris decided that he missed preparing taxes enough that he wanted to return to full-time tax preparation, and Gehman Accounting welcomed him to their tax team.
When not at work, Chris enjoys collecting and playing board games, studying and debating theology, and spending quality time with his family, even if it means paternity leave during tax season. Chris lives in Lebanon County with his wife and five children.
