Janice Witmer works on the bookkeeping team at Gehman Accounting. She does on-site bookkeeping, including bill-paying, invoicing, payroll, and reconciling. Janice thrives on challenges and enjoys learning new things. Gehman Accounting gives her many opportunities to rise to the challenge and succeed.
Janice became interested in accounting at a young age when her dad taught her to do basic bookkeeping for the family farm and business. By age 15, she was milking cows, making raw milk products, managing the retail store, and assisting with bookkeeping. After moving off the farm, she taught elementary school, was a secretary for a building material supplier, and worked in accounts payable and purchasing for a feed mill. Before coming to Gehman Accounting in October 2016, she held a short-term job pouring candles and working in retail.
Outside of work, she enjoys caring for her home and property with her husband. As a couple, they enjoy serving as houseparents once a month at Shepherd’s Fold and fulfilling other church responsibilities. Her favorite hobby is sewing, especially when she can bless others with her talent.
