Mary Ober works on the payroll team at Gehman Accounting. She processes payroll for businesses with accuracy and attention to detail and assists with workers’ compensation audits. Prior to Gehman Accounting, Mary spent eight years serving adults with Developmental Disabilities in group home settings in both Lancaster County and Albuquerque, New Mexico. She loved learning about their unique personalities and treasures her time with them.
Mary’s life philosophy is reflected in the advice she heard in high school. “When you go on from here, the clock will keep ticking. Thirty, forty, or fifty years from now, you will be looking around and asking, ‘Am I successful?’ Step away from the mirror. Lay aside your bank statement. Pick up the Bible and see if your life is in tune with God’s Word and His calling on your life. That is true success!”
In her leisure time, Mary enjoys slow trail runs, long walks, and riding her kickbike scooter. She also enjoys reading, latch-hook projects, and Swedish weaving. Mary is passionate about sponsoring children through Compassion International and loves writing and receiving letters from children worldwide.
