Jay Martin leads the tax division at Gehman Accounting. In addition to managing the team's workflow, Jay prepares tax returns for individuals and small businesses. He is an Enrolled Agent licensed by the Internal Revenue Service. He has been employed at Gehman Accounting since 2012 and received his Enrolled Agent credentials in 2013. Jay is also a PA Society of Tax & Accounting Professionals member.
In addition to his involvement in the tax division, outside of tax season, Jay is a QuickBooks ProAdvisor. He enjoys helping clients set up QuickBooks and provides ongoing support as needed. Honesty and integrity guide his interactions with his clients.
Before coming to Gehman Accounting, Jay was involved in the transportation industry for 15 years, including owning his own trucking company for 12 years. Having grown up on a dairy farm, he is also familiar with the challenges of the agriculture industry.
Outside of work, Jay is actively involved in his church, serving as the treasurer and deacon. He and his wife, Marilyn, are parents to four sons and a daughter. In his spare time, he enjoys reading and biking with his family.
