Shauna Martin works on the payroll team, accurately processing payroll for clients, helping with employee documents, and answering emails and phone calls. Prior to coming to Gehman Accounting, Shauna spent four years in food service, including functioning as a shift leader. She enjoyed interacting with the customers and getting to know the regulars. She also had her own small business for several years, finding an outlet for her creativity in macrame.
Outside of work, Shauna enjoys painting and anything creative, as well as spending time with friends and exploring new places. She volunteers at Hayloft Ice Cream and values the opportunity to serve others and the knowledge that her work there helps support the Allegany Boys Camp, which offers troubled youth a chance to change their lives.
One of Shauna’s guiding principles is to always treat others with kindness and understanding because you never know their story. She also believes it is important to be willing to learn from your mistakes.
