Nathan J Siegrist

Biography

Nathan J. Siegrist is the President and CEO of Gehman Accounting. He and his wife Rhoda and their children live in Lancaster County, where they moved in 2009. In addition to being a husband, father, and business owner, Nathan serves as deacon of Blue Ball Mennonite Church, where he was ordained in 2013. He especially enjoys hunting, playing softball, and spending valuable time with his family.

Nathan grew up as the son of a mechanic. He spent his early years watching and helping his dad in the shop. As a teenager, Nathan became acquainted with a wide variety of people who came to his father’s mechanic shop. As he observed people, he noticed that many faced a common problem: solutions for their financial situations were not easy to find. His observations slowly became a vision for providing biblical solutions for people's accounting and financial needs.

During his teens and early twenties, Nathan held many different jobs. He worked on a hay farm, and bulk food store, drove semis, learned about chemicals and fertilizers at Buffalo Valley Farm Supply, and worked for Beaver Run Sawmill hauling logs and doing the bookkeeping in the office.

He began a formal study of accounting in 1999 by enrolling in college. During college, he developed his practical accounting experience by working part-time for two accounting firms, Faren & Associates, PC, and Martin Accounting. In 2003, he graduated from Pennsylvania College of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, supplemented by financial planning and computer programming studies.

After graduation, Nathan’s vision of meeting needs in the accounting world became a reality when he launched his accounting firm. He started Provident Tax Accounting in 2005 in Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania. A few years later, Nathan acquired and merged his business with Gehman Accounting in New Holland, Pennsylvania.

Nathan’s practical work experiences have proven invaluable as he leads Gehman Accounting and works with business owners from many industries. From the birth of his vision to the ownership of Gehman Accounting, Nathan sees the hand of God directing his paths. “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:6
